Delightfully pleasant 80-degree temperatures set the tone for a smooth, efficient freshman move-in day Aug. 26.   • Men’s soccer ranked second in conference. The men’s soccer team was picked second in the University Athletic Association preseason coaches’ poll. The Bears return nine starters from last year’s team, including eight of its top 10 goal scorers and the entire starting backfield, a unit that allowed just 16 goals in 2009. WUSTL opens the season at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, at Francis Field against Webster University.
